When turning my head in VR the reflection in the mirror lags behind the actual movement a bit, which I find quite distracting. This looks somewhat like a motion smoothing feature with an overly long integration period but I'm not sure. In the F-14 the head movements in the mirror are responsive, ...

3. Stutters or lag? not sure which problem to address
Nov 26, 2021 · I've found that capping frames at 30 via the Oculus Debug Tool command window (server: ASW.Clock30) almost eliminates all stuttering.
When flying and looking out the window, espescially looking down on ground, every few seconds the image sort of hang or skips a few frames. This is also very visible when I taxi on ground surrounded by buildnings. Not sure if I should call it stutter, lag or something else. It’s like the sim is cashing or buffering, skipping a few frames and fast forward to keep up with position. System is 9900k@4,6/3080Ti/32GB/HP G2 on a 350Gbit fiber I have not found any background processes that peak or st...

1. have a laptop with an rtx 3080, i9-11950H, 32gb ram; headset is quest 2, using airlink. Broadcast is from laptop hotspot, which while not usually recommended, is perfectly stable on my setup with all over PCVR software tested. Laptop is X1 Extreme Gen 4. Fans are manually set to max, laptop is elevated 6" over desk for maximum ventilation. 2. Windows 10 install is clean as of a week ago, only installed updates and drivers and tuned for gaming just for PCVR, for everything else I use linux. Using nvidia driver 522.25, which is the latest as of a few days ago from nvidia, and newer than listed as required in FAQ. 2. mux switch is active; discrete video card only in bios, as specified in FAQ, and as I have to use already for all other PCVR apps for me 3. vr setup is confirmed working very smoothly with steamvr, runs vrchat / steam home /google vr with perfect smooth framerate. 4. have disabled afterburner after reading the FAQ, but it did not make a difference for me. 5. looking at PC preview, it looks like the frames generate correctly, but what I experience in the headset is less than 1FPS, can't even try to select a menu option from in the headset because lag is so bad (like, 10 seconds of lag before hand or head movement corresponds to actual movement). 6. steamvr fps meter stays green, however, the entire time, until app eventually crashes or I close it after giving up. 7. I can select options and new game from the pc interface. I tried to reduce settings in optio...

11. Why would render textures lag the oculus and not the editor?
Apr 19, 2016 · 50fps in the editor is probably too low in the first place. You need a fairly solid 75fps (if your monitor VSyncs at 60hz then check the ...
Hey guys, I’ve recently started developing with the oculus dk2 to create a first person driving simulation. I was using three cameras and three render textures for the rear view mirror and side mirrors. When the game runs with them on, the editor reads a steady 50 fps, no drops regardless of motion. looking through the oculus however it gets very choppy with low framerates. If the render textures are not active, the stats stay the same for the editor but the oculus runs smooth. Any ideas why th...
